I've been fighting with this same issue and it's been very frustrating. (if I remember this step already got sound working in iDVD in a few cases, but not all)ģ) Delete iDVD prefs (in your personal Library/Preferences folder)Ĥ) Duplicate the project in iMovie '09, then Share -> iDVD Here's a combination that worked for me: (not sure if it's all needed)ġ) Turn on sound in iMovie (click the button that enables sound as you mouse over video) m4v and I didn't want to lose quality through yet another (unnecessary) conversion, since my video in iMovie is in DV or AIC format. Sharing to Media Browser worked for me as well, but I saw it was re-encoding video to. Drop your music selection back into the menu drop zone+ Click on the icon and tiny black sound waves will appear+ If you strain your eyes and look really close you will see that there are no sound waves coming out of the sound icon+ By getting the music icon out of the way, you will reveal a tiny black sound/audio icon+ Move the music (the iTunes music notes) that you've placed here out of the menu box+ Click on the drop zone icon to open the drop zones+ Open the menu where you are having audio problems+ If still no sound, have a look at your iDVD main screen and check the audio well. Be sure that the sound slidebar is moved to the right enough to hear sounds. If they are black, click once on that button to activate the sound. The circle in the center of the buttons below the main iDVD screen should have circular arrows that are blue. If you are using iMovie 8/9, you do not have this format.įirst be sure you have activated the audio in iDVD. The reference you found regarding the timeline checkbox is for iMovie versions 6 and earlier, where there are checkboxes for activating the audio tracks in the timeline. ![]()
